Who Would Buy This: We think that the would be suitable for anyone looking to purchase a hard wearing mid-level motherboard. Saying that though it really has got to be the motherboard of choice for serious gamers who are either replacing an existing motherboard or building a gaming pc from scratch.

Lets start with the Thermal Armor, well we are divided in opinion on this, it certainly gives the inside of the computer a clean look and is should keep the dust out as well! The idea is that it prevents the hot air released from the video cards and CPU cooler from heating the motherboard components and it does seem to work, we require further testing on this to be certain though.
What we also found interesting is that this motherboard boasts a certificate that it can withstand a number of militiary level tests to test it’s toughness and reliability the tests conducted include shock, thermal, vibration,moisture resistance and salt spray.
We were impressed with the amount of USB ports, with 12 USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports which are ten times speedier than the USB 2.0 ports.
It’s obvious that the right attention has been paid to how the Sabertooth P67 is layed out as all the important headers and sockets are situated on the edge of the PCB. The good thing is that the SATA ports are positioned parallel to the PCB too which helps keep the cabling tidy.
Finally what sold it for us was the extended five year parts and labour guarantee from Asus which put our mind and rest knowing once we’ve purchased it were safe for up to another five years.
So all in all a very nice and unique motherboard which should stand the test of time with its military grade components.
Things we did not like: What we did notice was that the temperature sensors appeared to be not so accurate. Even though we liked the look and novelty of the thermal armour we are still not convinced yet that it isn’t just a gimmick we suggest that you add a motherboard fan, this will lower the temperature of the board just in case.

Is it worth the money? Our opinion is that this MoBo is pretty competitively priced for what it is, though it is no bargain.
